Brake Disc – T3 / Early (ATE Classic)

Brake disc to suit  pre 1986 VW T3 with fixed, dual piston caliper.

Require Bearings – See Related Items.

Please be aware that there are 2 different types of braking systems used on T3 models.

• 1980 to 1986 – “Early” have fixed dual piston calipers
• 1986 to 1992 – “Late” have sliding single piston callipers

The brake discs and pads for the 2 systems are different.

Now to confuse things even further, there are 2 types of wheel bearing used on the T3, Early or Late.

Whilst late discs always have the late bearings, the early discs were fitted with either early or late depending on the year of manufacture.

So, when fitting Early Discs, especially of your T3 is made around the changeover (1985) its worth double checking.

Priced PER disc, please add 2 to the basket as brake discs should always be changed in pairs.

Although these are “ATE Classic”, this is just the brand, they will fit both early ATE and Girling brake systems.
