Replica of the original.

After selling these for years as a “close enough” replacement we’ve now bitten the bullet and had these reproduced exactly as the originals.

Using a known original, we consulted a local old school printer to reverse engineer the process used and eventually we came up with what we believe to be the closest reproduction of the original front Panel decal out there.
It’s been a long process and a couple of set backs on the way, but we’re there now.

Rather than the digitally printed versions we used to sell, which whilst being acceptable were not quite up to the standard of the originals, and a bit of a copmpromise due to how fine the stars were on the originals… these use a custom made screen which allows us to print the fine details of the stars in exactly the same colour and size as the original.

One of the issues with the digitally printed versions was that you were kind of stuck with the shade of silver that was available. You can’t make silver from the standard CMYK printing process so it tends to be a transfer foil…  so these are a custom silver ink, this means rather than looking a little bit too bright, or a little too dark…  they look “just right”.

Screen printed on an industry standard vehicle grade exterior clear vinyl, we are confident you will not find a more authentic reproduction of the WHITESTAR front panel decal.
