Details

UK made thermal windscreen cover for all VW T3 with standard or electric mirrors, sadly doesn’t suit truck mirrors but we’re working on that!

  • Great for all season use.
  • Use instead of cluttering up your interior with curtains.
  • Silver colour reflects sunlight to reduce interior heating in the summer and keeps heat in through the cooler months (we’re not a fan of the black screen for practical reasons) .
  • Reduces if not stops overnight condensation so you can simply remove the screen and and drive off without having to defrost the inside of the screen and front windows
  • Less chance of condensation freezing on the inside of the windscreen.
  • Increased privacy.
  • Cuts exterior light transmission to the interior of the vehicle (and vice versa), who goes on a camping holiday and wants to be woken up when the sun rises!
  • Supplied with a waterproof bag, can be put away wet and dried at the end of your trip.

Sidenote.
As someone who has lived for 5 months in a T3 panelvan in the French Alps whilst “doing a winter season” then I feel I can speak with some experience on such matters!
These things make a massive difference, having started with internal stick on thermal mats I soon learnt about the condenstaion problem the hard way! All your breath condenses on the coldest parts of the interior and when you’re living in sub zero temeratures that condensation soon freezes! Having to defrost the inside and outside of your windscreen is no fun especially when you live in the shadow of Mont Blanc and your favoured camp spot doesn’t get sun between December and February!

Having progressed to a single skin outer screen cover in conjuction with the inner screen and soon realising that wasn’t the answer either an insulated “Silver Screen” was sent from the UK to make cold weather habitation a little more refined, hey presto, problems solved! I’ve used insulated external screens for the last 20 or so years now and wouldn’t want to camp without one.
