Often perished or split.

Reproduced by GoWesty in the USA from Viton as a replacement for the original VW boots.

Viton is a much more durable synthetic material compared to modern “rubber” which deteriorates quicker than the original materials used when your T3 was built.
These are currently the best available.

This part goes on the side of the gearbox between the box and the relay lever (the bar with the ball on the end of it).
