Ignition Coil – T3 / Early (DIN)

For the VW T3 there are 2 different ignition coils fitted.

• Early – For all air-cooled and early water cooled petrol engine, these were fitted until the end of the 1984 model year in July ’84. Un to VIN: WV2 ZZZ (24/25) Z E H 155 000
• Late – For all engines fitted from the 1985 model year onwards, the parts catalogue says from VIN: WV2 ZZZ (24/25) Z E H 155 001 onwards but we suspect it’s actually from VIN: WV2 ZZZ (24/25) Z F (G/H) 00 001 onwards

This is a brand new ignition coil for Earlier VW T3 models with DIN type connection for the king lead.

To suit engine codes.

• 1.6l “CT” – All
• 2.0l “CU” – All
• 1.9l “DF” »’85
• 1.9l “DG” »’85

We’ve not sold ignition coils for a very long time as everything that we bought did not match the factory testing data and when asking supplers and manufacturers for information we were not furnished with the data we required to sell their products with confidence.

After speaking with Bremi, they were very forthcoming with testing information so here we are, we’re selling Bremi ignition coils.

Testing data for this ignition coil is.

• Primary resistance of 0,65Ω
• Secondary of 2.76 kΩ

Although not matching the VW testing data exactly they are within the specification. Bremi aren’t stupid, theiy know what they are doing.
