Details
DAB antenna splitter to allow use of your normal, standard FM antenna to run your DAB head unit.
Adapter sits inline of your standard antenna cable (with DIN connectors) and has a separate lead to run to the head units DAB antenna socket.
Most aftermarket DAB head units have a SMB male connector, the adapter has SMB Female so it should just plug straight in.
One electrical connection to make to the switched 12v output from your head unit to turn it on and off automatically.
Clearly using a device like this is a compromise and it won’t perform as well as a dedicated DAB antenna slap bang in the centre of your metal roof but it will offer acceptable DAB reception in areas of decent DAB coverage.
