Replacement clock spring for VW T4 with drivers airbag.

From VW there were 3 variants of this part

  • 1H0 959 653 E fitted up to Sept ’98 (Poznan built T4 up to VIN – LHD »70-XX 053 082 / RHD – »70-XX 067 239)(Hanover built T4 up to VIN »70-XH 051 759)
  • 7D0 959 653 E fitted from Sept ’98 onward (Poznan built T4 from VIN – LHD »70-XX 053 083» / RHD – 70-XX 067 240»)(Hanover built T4 from VIN 70-XH 051 760»)
  • 7D0 959 654 For vehicles with ESP (Electronic stability program)

The difference between the first 2 parts is slight at best to the point of us just offering 1 replacement part to cover all T4 without ESP. We cannot offer a slip ring for T4 with ESP.

For vehicles without ESP the only difference we’ve noticed is the electrical terminal used for connection to the horn.

  • 1H0 969 653 E – Straight electrical terminal
  • 7D0 959 653 E – 90° electrical terminal (or “flag” terminal)

If you find this “earlier” clock spring does not work with your “later” van then we have added a flag terminal below to allow you to convert the clock spring horn connector.

PART ORIENTATION

If a part is described as being “Left” or “Right” it means on which side of the vehicle the part is to be fitted in relation to being sat in the vehicle facing forwards.

DELIVERY

We aim to dispatch all parcels within 24hrs. We are normally able to dispatch parcels SAME DAY where orders are received before 2.00pm Tuesday to Friday (10am Monday /after bank holidays).
Whilst we try our best to ship same day, we cannot guarantee delivery time, you will however receive tracking details as soon as your order has been processed (Where applicable).
Please note that we do not process orders over the weekend, so orders placed after 2pm on Friday will not ship until Monday.
