Aftermarket South African style front lower grille.
Will suit all watercooled T3.
Where to start with these.
They are reproductions, the quality isn’t on a par with the originals, not that the South African parts were great to begin with.
That said these are a lot better than the old repro ones, and in fact they’re actually quite “nice” from a few metres away.
Close up you’ll see some flash lines and steps in the moulding where the various parts (of what must be a complex mould) meet.
If you look down the length you’ll notice some slight “wobbles” in the horizontal slats.
You may need to trim a bit of flash from the slots on the 3 “feet” that clip into the front panel on the bottom.
The trim clips are tight. You can sand a little off the edge of the original clips by skimming them over a little sandpaper. It’s only a little. I’m sure we don’t need to draw you a diagram, we have faith in you!
